Internship: Programmer

As a programming intern at Winterkeep, you will be part of the development team and work hands-on with gameplay and systems programming on a PC strategy game. We work in Unreal Engine and AngelScript, and the internship is designed to give practical experience in a real production environment.

There are no formal requirements, but prior exposure to Unreal Engine or scripting as part of your education is a plus.

What you will work on

You will work with both gameplay programming and UI programming. For the type of strategy games we build, a significant part of the development is focused on menus and player interfaces.

What you will learn

You will learn how to work as part of a professional development team, with a deeper understanding of Unreal Engine and game programming in a production environment. You will gain insight into development processes, collaboration, and how features move from idea to implementation.

You will also take part in designing systems and work closely with game designers, artists, and other programmers, giving you a clear picture of how different disciplines come together in game development.
